Workshop – Roadside Repairs
What to expect:
Our mechanic's/trainers will discuss methods and give practical advice on how to carry out emergency repairs to a bike. You then will be given the chance to learn how to do the same with your own bike. The groups are kept small to ensure excellent teacher to attendee ratio.
By the end of this course you will be able to get yourself out of most roadside situations which otherwise might put an early end to your ride.
Duration: 2 Hours
Class Size: Class are kept small to ensure all participants get the most out of the sessions. Varying from 6 – 10 people depending on date selected.
What to bring:
Hand pump or CO2 cylinder (if you have a road bike and wish to practice CO2 inflation)
Spanners of the appropriate size if your wheels are bolted on
***If you do not have any of the above items, you can borrow or buy on the day***
What will be covered:
How to connect and disconnect brakes safely
Wheel removal and refitting of both front and back wheels
Tyre & tube removal, inspection & replacing for both front and rear wheels
What to do if a spoke breaks or a gear cable snaps!
