Why have a bike fit?

If you have just acquired a new bike, or are developing aches or pains following a ride, then getting your bike setup checked, is one of the most important things you can do.

Why don’t you use a computer based system?

We want to get you as comfortable as possible on your bike, so you can safely develop and improve your riding. We feel that we can do that best by utilising our experience, not a computer. Our bike fits are performed to fit the bike to you, not to make you fit the bike! This is why all our fits are performed by a human, not a computer.

Will I need any adjustments to my fit in the future?

As your fitness level and style of riding improves and develops, it may be necessary to make adjustments over time. As a guarantee of our work, any adjustments that need to be done within the first 30 days of your fit, will be at no additional cost.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring your bike, bike shoes, pedals and appropriate cycling clothing.

Hybrid/Basic Bike Fit – 45 mins

This level of fit is provided for FREE on all new bikes purchased or can be performed on your existing bike (except performance bikes). It includes seat, handlebar and bike control adjustment, to fit your new bike to you and to ensure it’s as comfortable as possible.

Road/Advanced Bike Fit – 1 to 1.5 hrs

This level of fit is provided for FREE on all new performance bikes purchased or can be performed on your existing bike.

For Mountain Bikes it includes not only seat, stem, handlebar and bike control adjustments, but also fully setting up the bikes suspension to suit your weight and riding style

For Road/TT bikes, this involves a session on our stationery trainer where our road bike specialist staff, who don't use computers but good old fashioned knowledge and experience, ensure the bike is tailored to you!

It includes set up of seat height & position, handlebar height and head stem reach, adjustment of bike controls and set up of pedals and cleats. We also evaluate your riding style in both static and motion positions, referring back to video evidence to show you how your fit has developed.

Whilst you are on the trainer, we can also give you advice on how to get the best out of your bike and for those new to riding clipped in, we’ll give you the opportunity to practice and build up your confidence whilst on the trainer.

At the end of the session, you will be provided with your new bike measurements for your own records.

Having a bike fit with us, will give you the assurance that the work on your bike is being carried out not only by an experienced bike fitter but also by a bike mechanic who has the knowledge and skills required to correctly re-assemble your pride and joy.
